Improve heavy, compacted or waterlogged growing media with Horticultural Perlite. Made from expanded volcanic glass, these lightweight particles create air spaces in soil and potting mixes, allowing roots to access more oxygen while excess water drains away more efficiently.

Perlite is especially useful for indoor pots, propagation trays, seed starting, vegetable beds and ornamental containers. It can reduce the weight of potting mixes, loosen dense soil and help prevent the stagnant root-zone conditions associated with poor drainage. Because it is mineral-based and does not decompose quickly, it remains an effective structural ingredient over time.

Create a Lighter, Better-Aerated Root Zone

Horticultural Perlite is not a fertilizer. It is a physical soil amendment used to improve drainage, porosity and aeration. The irregular particles hold small amounts of moisture on their surface while allowing surplus water to move through the growing medium.

How to Use It
